Before Implementing Relog

Before implementing Relog TMS, RG Brands’ logistics team planned routes manually, using maps created by sales representatives. The company had also tried another logistics automation solution, but it failed to account for strict territory-based route assignments. This resulted in more product returns and reduced delivery efficiency. In 2019, when looking for a new TMS, RG Brands focused on several key requirements:

  • reliable route planning and efficient vehicle utilization;
  • a mobile app for drivers;
  • the ability to assign drivers to specific territories;
  • powerful BI and analytics capabilities.

After evaluating the available options, RG Brands chose Relog, a leading logistics automation solution in Central Asia.

Implementation Process

The implementation took around a year. Following a successful pilot, the system was rolled out across all of RG Brands’ branches. Several customizations were developed as part of the implementation. For example, the team introduced a CRM-based customer feedback system, reflecting RG Brands’ strong focus on service quality. They also developed a new planning approach to improve efficiency during seasonal periods and adapt routes to changing demand.

“

There were several factors that affected the speed of implementation. The first was the logistics teams at the branches where the system was being introduced. They had been working manually for many years and were comfortable with the existing processes. We had to address their concerns, explain the benefits of the new system, and help them adapt to the changes. This naturally affected the pace of implementation. The second factor was the drivers and delivery staff. With the Relog mobile app, their work became more transparent and easier to monitor, which was not always welcomed by the drivers.

Results of Relog Implementation

After implementing the Relog TMS, RG Brands significantly improved its logistics operations. Operators no longer create routes manually, and route planning now takes minutes instead of hours. The company’s drivers are monitored, helping improve delivery quality.

With the Relog BI module, management has access to analytics across all branches. This enables the company to monitor delivery efficiency, including driver KPIs, returns, and the start and completion of orders. CRM integration further helps improve customer service and customer loyalty.
