Before implementing Relog
The company began considering logistics optimization when it entered a growth phase. As sales volumes increased, it was important to maintain a high level of service and prevent disruptions in logistics processes. Route planning had to take into account the receiving schedules of different retail locations. For example, deliveries to shopping malls had to be completed by 10:00 a.m., gas stations accepted deliveries only until 6:00 p.m., and restaurants until 5:00 p.m. There was also the issue of seasonal vehicle downtime, as well as a “one driver — one sales representative” system.
When routes were planned manually, it was impossible to account for all delivery factors. Therefore, in 2021, the company decided to implement a TMS. The company chose Relog, the largest logistics automation system in Central Asia.
Results of implementing Relog
After implementing Relog, Red Team Distribution doubled its sales volume while increasing its fleet by only 40%. This was made possible by the flexible planning capabilities of the Relog TMS. Vehicles are now dispatched along optimized routes generated by the system within minutes. On the first trip, a driver handles orders from one sales representative, while on the second trip, they handle orders from another. This has enabled the company to support business growth while reducing the need to expand its vehicle fleet.
The work of the logistics team has also changed and become more efficient. Optimal routes can now be generated within minutes. Logistics managers can quickly answer any questions from clients or management about shipments, as all drivers can be tracked in real time on the map.
BI analytics in Red Team Distribution’s logistics
The company actively uses Relog’s analytics modules, including BI Analytics and Census. The head of the department can generate reports on the performance of each delivery employee for a month, week, or day to assess their efficiency. Managers can also see the reasons why a driver was late to a retail location. There is no need to collect this data manually — the required report can be generated in Relog within five minutes.
Relog Census analytics is based on the 2GIS database. When it is overlaid with Red Team Distribution’s customer database, the company can see how many retail outlets in the city already work with them and how many could potentially become customers. This makes it easier to identify growth opportunities and plan for potential fleet expansion.
I believe that businesses should definitely adopt Relog, as it helps them grow, monitor employee performance, and analyze company results. In today’s business environment, analytics is essential.
